2010 Resolutions Recap

1. I'll participate in the Philippines 2010 Presidential Elections. I sure did.
   
2. I'll buy myself a notebook.But I bought myself the SE Elm that I wanted.
   
3. I'll travel and discover my own country. I went to Ocean Park, Binondo, National Museum, and Marikina City's Shoe Museum. I guess I still travelled, right?
   
4. I'll closely watch the FIFA World Cup in South Africa on TV.I was closely updated through twitter. =)
   
5. I'll post all the missing entries here on my blog.Nope, I wasn't able to published it here. And I'll probably upload them on my tumblr, not here on blogspot.
   
6. I'll volunteer! I didn't. :(
   
7. I'll love my job or get the job that I love. I quit.
   
8. I'll meet more people -- NO. Screw it, I'll get a boyfriend! Neeeeexxxxxt..!

My Hair's Short or Long Story?

On 12th of December, 2008, I had my hair cut. The lady at the parlor cut it short, really really short. I was devastated. I promised myself that I will let my hair grow from then on.

2010 Review

1. What did you do in 2010 that you’d never done before? Quit my job.

2. Did you keep your new year’s resolutions, and will you make more for next year? Some of them. Yes, I will. See my this-twenty-ten post.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth? My high school friend Jackilyn to a baby boy last October of this year.
4. Did anyone close to you die? Oh no, grateful.
5. What countries did you visit? Not one.
6. What would you like to have in 2011 that you lacked in 2010? Assertiveness.
7. What date from 2009 will remain etched upon your memory and why? The good times and the bad times I had with LBC.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? I learned how to get along with people very well. Lived with people I don't know, give them my trust, and shared my life with them.
9. What was your biggest failure? That I didn't get a new stable job after my promising career with LBC.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury? No. So thankful.
11. What was the best thing you bought? These might not be the biggest to other people but I bought myself; an SE phone, an external hard disk, and enrolled myself to a film training/seminar.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration? I can say mine? Hahaha.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed? Bosses.
14. Where did most of your money go? RENT. Foods. Transportations to Lucban from Manila or Manila to Lucban. Small great travels. Books.
15. What did you really, really, really get excited about? Me and my friend Mae small travels.
16. What song will always remind you of 2010? Honor Society's "Where are you now?"

Happier? Happy.
Thinner? Fatter.
Richer? Poorer. (Because I'm on my own now.)

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old did you turn? I was taking a medical exam when I turned 22.
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying? A new job before this year ends.
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2010? I think, 2010 made me realize that people should accept change, especially me. Not to become trendy but to find and have her own classic style. To sometimes care what might other people is thinking towards you right before they even get to know you. That you might not want to please other people but they will, and believe me they will, judge you by how you look and how you carry yourself. That being JUST comfortable with the clothes you wear is not always as good as you think. Because once you only care and think about is what-I-only-think-is-important you are disregarding other people that is part of your world which leads you to become a lousy dresser, you'll get lazy to keep a good hygiene, and close-minded individual who has his/her own world.
Looking good is taking care of yourself. Looking good is feeling good. Looking good in the eyes of others make you feel good. Looking good in front of the mirror feels great!

35. Which celebrity did you fancy the most? Brandon Boyd!
36. What political issue stirred you the most? When I heard that Gordon will manipulate the results of the 2010 Presidential Elections because he was the senator to passed the Automated Elections System in the country.
37. Who did you miss? Watching FIFA World Cup in South Africa on Tv.
38. Who was the best new person you met? Si Manong! His personality was molded by all the experiences he went through in his life. His unique character was achieved by meeting the good, the bad and the ugly people he met along his fun journey. And he was always willing and volunteering to share all his incredibly unbelievable stories to people.

*Correction: I met this officemate last December of 2009, but I got to get to know him in 2010.
39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2010: That men can't hear (unable to process inside their brain) the 70+ percent of what women tell them. That when a guy likes you; he won't offer you a job and/or he won't ask for a pasaload. That a workplace has politics. That some people love competition although they are alone in their own race. That survival is part of living. That life is a constant change.

These are the songs I played over and over this year. Songs I downloaded illegally from the internet. Songs I received and sent via Bluetooth. Songs I listened to until I fell to sleep. Songs I listened to to keep me awake. Songs I heard on the radio inside the bus, inside the convenience stores. Song I sang repeatedly.

I chose these songs because they made an impact in my life this year. These music registered in my brain; songs that my heart heard and listened to; melodies that my body felt, and lyrics that touched my soul.

Nagising ako nang may tuma-tao po ng malakas sa pinto. Shet. Kung anu-ano ang naisip ko kung sino.. baka Motortrade? Digitel? Cable guy?? ahh.. Meralco!

Ha? Teka, kailan pa nangamala ang Meralco??

"Tao po? Tao po?"

"Bakit po?"

"Sa Meralco po kami. Ay mag-check lang po kami ng metro n'yo."

Oh right, joke ba 'to? T'as sasabihin n'yang hahabulin ko yung metro dahil tumatakbo? Bwahahahahahaha

"Ah.. O sige po."

"Ate, mag-brown out lang ng madali ha."

Makalipas ang ilang minuto. Matapos ang kanilang pag-uusisa.. Tinawag nila ulit ako.

"Ate, Ate.. yung atin lang tubo ang kailangan nang paltan. Kalawangin na at dumadaloy yung tubig kapag umuulan. Kung may budget o makaluwag ay papaltan na yung tubo nung metro."

"Ah.. Okay, ay sige po. Kasi po kung.. Ipapalipat na din po sana nga kasi 'yan. Ay anu po ba ang kailangan o ano dapat ang gagawin?"

"Ay.. kung ipapalipat naman po, ay sa matino na lang na Electrician n'yo ipagawa. Dahil kung hindi ay dadaan pa sa munisipyo yan at gagastos pa kayo. D'on na lamang sa matino ha, na Electrician, ipalipat n'yo 'yang metro at babaklasin kasi 'yang (anung tawag dun sa para keychain? Nakalimutan ko, anyway..) t'as ireport n'yo na lang sa Meralco at biente pesos lang ang babayaran ninyo.

Oha! May nasa-suggest naman palang matino ang Meralco.. under the table pa rin nga lang.

Na-explain ba nila yung binabayan natin Others sa electric bill natin every month??

Oh well, nangyayari pala 'yung pag-tao po ng Meralco sa bahay.

Look! There's more.. HAHAHA =) Effective ang ginawa ko para bumaba ang electric bill ko this month.

I just unplugged the microwave oven, the radio, the dvd player and turn off the bathroom lights when I'm not even there. Nice!

How Bad is Bad Breath?

My dad is old and has bad breath (the old man doesn't give a shit anymore), I can tolerate that 'cause he's my dad. My brother sometimes has bad breath because he's a smoker, I can tolerate that 'cause he's my brother. My dog always has bad breath, I can tolerate that 'cause it's a dog.

My officemates has bad breath because of empty stomach due to skipping meals to finish a certain task and/or not brushing their teeth after meals. I can tolerate that, it's not like everyday they have bad breath.

So, when is bad breath intolerable? When is Bad Breath BAD?

Bad breath is bad when it's my breath that is bad; when I have flu or colds, when I need to consult my dentist, when I'm super hungry and my mouth gets very dry, when forgot to carry my toothbrush with me outside. I can't tolerate that I, myself, has bad breath.

Neither! Few people might think that a possible remedy for bad breath is eating. Yes, eating!

Banana

Avocado

If you are not allergic to avocados, you may want to try eating 1/2 to a whole one each day. You'll notice right away that your breath stays fresher longer and the more you eat them, the less problem you'll have with your breath. I happened upon this little benefit of the avocado while eating them to control my blood pressure, so I did a little research. Parsley

Regardless of how severe your breath odor is, using parsley for bad breath is not going to do any harm, in fact it's nutritional value alone is a good reason to use more of it. Some people carry a handful around in a plastic bag in a pocket so that they'll have a parsley remedy for bad breath whenever they need it.
