It all started when I learned that my Sony Ericsson phone can send and receive e-mail if I set-up POP and IMAP. Huge e-mail providers like Gmail, Yahoo! and Hotmail has this option for the convenience of their users. I enabled the POP and IMAP on my e-mail accounts and set up my phone. Viola! I can now send and receive e-mail on my cellphone.
But it didn't end there, I also got curios on how will I use the Microsoft Outlook on my computer. I thought it will keep all my incoming e-mail messages from my three different e-mail accounts since I have three e-mail accounts. Yes, I have three active e-mail addresses; ----@e-mail.ph for different website notifications and sites where I subscribe to newsletters (facebook, friendster, multiply, etc.), -------_--------@yahoo.com for jobs, work, school and chat (most people I know uses yahoo!) and ---------@gmail.com for personal use (strictly for receiving and sending direct e-mail messages from direct people I know, you know what I mean).
Just earlier I once again opened the Microsoft Outlook. Later, when I opened my Yahoo! Mail. I noticed something was wrong.. I was horrified to find NO message on my inbox. I felt my legs were shaking as I was trying to figure out what to do. Those messages are very very special to me. I created my Yahoo! Account back in 2003. All messages GONE. I was devastated. I really truly literally cried.
I got very angry and tweeted:
Then minutes later, this message pops out.
I don't know what this Error #14 means but I thought everything will be back to normal when Yahoo! figure out or fix the problem. I ate lunch and took a break. I went back to the internet and still nothing, NO SINGLE MESSAGE on my Yahoo! inbox. Thank goodness I have set up my GMail's POP3. My GMail has a copy of all the old e-mails from my Yahoo!. But I still want Yahoo! restore all the messages that miraculously deleted, gone, VANISHED!
I happen to get the link where I can submit my request to restore my inbox. Here's the link:
I already submitted my request and hope it will be fixed by Yahoo! team very soon or I will be down for days! :(
Too bad, I wanted to blog all about POP and IMAP to help other netizen but it seems like I have to figure out this one particular trouble first before I could help others.
Please pray with me for the recovery of my e-mails. Thank you!
