Fool Again

I had a crush on a guy I didn't know. Just a random guy. Of course, it happens all the time. I saw him at a relative's simple and small party. He was there. I wasn't sure who he was, who was he with or what his name was, but I can blurry remember someone, I guess it was his older sister, called him out, "Larry!", he responded by turning his head. But, I wasn't sure. So, I forgot about his face, his clothes he was wearing, everything. The name remained in my memory.

After eight long years.. I found him.

Just an hour or so ago, I confirmed it. I know it was him. I know it was his sister. I know he was the Larry I saw at the party. The Larry who turned his head when called by his sister. For so long, I thought they were just imaginary persons I only created inside my creative mind. But no! They were real. He is real!

What a destiny. I'm not saying we're destined.
But.. you know, what a life!

I discovered shoewawa.com through watching Confidential. It was all about shoes episode. I'm not a very much of a shoeholic but I know what I like when it comes to my own pair of heels. I definitely wouldn't want to wear a one-inch heel shoe, I'd wear my Chuck's instead. Donatella Versace's advice for any woman, is to keep a pair of black high heels in her wardrobe. That's a must. I don't have one yet. What's great about this site is how they find a very similar and cheaper shoe version of a branded and expensive one. What a bargain!



Who told me about this site? Well. What the heck?! Oh. Where did I find out about this site? I can't remember . I did a little research on my e-mail's inbox and find the oldest (and probably the first) newsletter I got from whowhatwear.com was back in February 20, this year. Never mind. What I love about this site is when they feature their Myspace Muses. These Myspace Muses are random ordinary ladies who dresses up glamly, that you can effortlessly copy!



My latest discovery is geekpurses.com it's the ultimate site for me and for bagaholics out there. I found it through the use of a trusted search engine. The featured bag photos are gigantic. There are also photos of celebrities who carries the same bag the site is featuring. They provide the price of the bag they show, so you would know exactly how much is to save from your next pay check!

Fashion / Fall

I was looking for other tv programs and then stopped and tuned in to ShopTalk at ANC. The host were talking about fashion and then *bang.. she said Preview. The title of the segment is Fashion Career. And I saw her, the guest. I know her! The same girl I saw in Mango at Power Plant Mall months ago. It's Daryl Chang on the program.

During my internship with Mega Magazine, Camille Sison introduced me to Daryl Chang while we were in Mango pulling-out some items. DC was double checking the items she was going to pull-out and we were there doing the same exact thing. DC says, "Camille.." and Camille says "Hello!" back. They talked how much they love their job but hates the part of double checking the items. CS introduced me to DC. She didn't say though that DC was working on the other side, I just found out about that just now, by watching this.

It was funny to me when the host ask Daryl "What's balmain?" Oh well. I have never heard of it neither back then. She explained that it is a fashion brand in Europe blah-blah.. I was that innocent also back then. I didn't know how to spell Guerlain (a perfume and make-up brand), I spelled Adorra instead of Adora (a luxurious store in GB), PEG was a new word for me at that time, as well as, shoot, art, copy, proof and sourcing, these words have different meanings in the fashion world. For two weeks, I always learn new words and new things in Mega.

In the program, DC claimed that she finds it easy in writing for fashion magazine, ".. you get to play more with the words." she said. But she also stated that, "No, I'm poor." I didn't really get it, whether she doesn't earns that high in the industry or she has the access to see the latest trends, so she tends to spend more. It's the latter. "We're always in the mall sourcing.", she added.

In the end, to land a career in a fashion magazine, you need to have "..an eye for style and also can write, all in one."

An Aussie

Sayang na sayang. Kung lang nag-plano yung dalawa, si Kuya at si Janet nang mas mabuti at mas maaga. Naisip ko kaagad 'yon simula nang ibinalita sa akin ng kapatid ko na Tita na ako. Ganito 'yon e, kung nung dati pa pumayag silang dalawa na aalis din si Janet para sumama sa kanyang nanay papuntang Australia nitong dadating na buwan o sa susunod, sana yung magiging pamangkin ko ay instant Australian by birth kaagad. Nice di ba? Nakakapagtaka lang na hindi sumagi sa isip nilang dalawa 'yong ideya na 'yon. Hmm.. Ang dali din lang sana silang makukuha. Ako? Masaya na ako kung alam kong may kapatid ako na citizen na ng ibang bansa. Mas masaya kung makakasama ako! Yipee.

Buy Bayong

You know how I hate noise? Damn! And how I hate crowd? I can't stand them. Chaos. It's irritating! In wet market, it's both present.

I bought some breads for my breakfast this morning in a nearby bakery. They put them in a paper bag, I thought, it kinda look like those groceries of Americans in a movie I usually see.









Today's Sunday, the day to go to the market. I went out of the house with my money, keys, cellphone, tissue and extra plastic and a small paper bag. My municipality ban us from using plastic bags. Horray! What am I going to buy? Newspaper, garlic, onions, tomatoes, milk fish, and rice.

I arrived at the market. It was hot. Tricycles were not moving on the street because of traffic. There are lots of people. Many of them has their own bayong. I have a bayong too, I bought it last year. But I don't use it now.



Inside the market, I went to meat, poultry and fishes section. The place is wet all over. I didn't go. I didn't buy any fish. I didn't buy anything.

I told my self, I'll just buy some rice..

I went to the rice store, outside the market. I told the male owner, I need four kilos of rice. Meanwhile the female owner talked to me..

Female: Don't you have a bayong?
Me: Nope. Why?
Female: Nothing. The officers might just caught you using plastic.
Me: Whoa. Wait, I have my own used plastic bag here. Is it okay?
Female: Sure, maybe, just tell them you've used it already. If you get caught, you'll have to pay P500 fine and I have to pay P1000.
I thought, while handing my P500 to the male owner, what if I get caught.. my P500 for the rice of my whole week will just vanish like that because of using this plastic? And the owner, this early, will have to let go of P1000. What if the person who's been caught for using a plastic bag is in desperate need, has to feed her six kids and only earn P80 a day?
There! She's the one, that one in brown shirt. She's the environmental.. environmental.. environmentalist..

Moviespotting.

The feeling is intense everytime I discover, heard or seen new title of films, especially when I know I still have dig a liitle deeper just to find where to find or buy a copy. I don't really care whether I have to look for it in Delgic, Astro Plus, Astro Vision, google it, ebay, sulit.com.ph or anywhere! I'll keep on searching.

Trainspotting is a 1996 Brithish film, directed by Danny Boyle with Ewan McGregor in the cast. It's about Scottish.. idk.

It's Laundry Day

Rejet. Oh mon Dieu! C'est très gentil de vous. Je me sens stupide maintenant. Merci beaucoup. Êtes-vous un crétin?

Not once but twice, I have been rejected. No! Not exactly, they approved my friend request, talking about facebook here, and then right after confirming they deleted my instantly as their friends. C'mon guys, you do better than that. And I am not that idiot either, are you? There was an option to ignore people who are trying to be on your friends. By doing that, you'll be saving more energy rather than confirming and going back to your recently added friends and then deleting their precious name. How dare you?

Noon ang lagi kong isinisiksik sa utak ko ay ang sinabi ni JFK na "...ask not what your country can do for you -- ask what you can do for your country." Sa edad ko ngayon, siguro ang pinaka-magagawa ko ay humanap ng trabaho, magtrabaho at magbayad ng tamang buwis. Para may budget na mapapunta sa mga public schools, public hospitals, at public officials.

Sapat na ba ang magbayad ng buwis? Hindi. Pero bilang lang kasi ang mga bagay na kaya kong gawin sa bayan na 'to. Ang mga Japanese, pumatay para sa bansa nila at nagpapakamatay din. Ang mga Vietnamese, pumatay ng mga dayuhan at ng kapwa nila Vietnamese. Di ako handang pumatay at mas malabong magpakamatay ako para sa bansang ito.

Bilang isang Pilipino, hindi ko ikinahihiya, lalong di ko itatanggi, PERO hindi ko din ipagyayabang o ipagmamalaki.

Ang usapan kasi dito, hindi naman yung bansa, hindi yung mismong bansa ang pinaguusapan at ipinaglalaban dito, ang tanong e, kung handa ka bang mamatay para sa mga kapwa mo Pilipino at kung handa kang pumatay para sa kanila. Handa ka ba? ..Ows? Kung iisipin mo lang ng mabuti..
